S.L. 13.1 Art. 5Lapse of licence.

(1) If any annual fee is not paid within thirty days after the date upon which the communication aforesaid has been sent by post, the licence to which it relates shall cease to be in force sine die, and if the person to whom it was granted wishes again to act as a Commission Agent he shall be required to apply for a new licence in accordance with the provisions of article 71 of the Code.

(2) In considering under that article any such application and the fitness of the applicant to act as a commission agent, the Council may take into consideration the previous failure of the applicant to pay the annual fee and of any explanation regarding that failure which the applicant may adduce.

(3) When a licence ceases to be in force, the fact shall be notified in the Gazette.
