S.L. 171.2 Art. 44Insurance policy.

(1) Port workers shall be provided with a Personal Accident and Sickness Insurance Policy on a basis of twenty-four hours, which will provide benefits to them and their dependents

*1st July, 2007. covering accidental death, permanent disablement and temporary total disablement due to accident and/or sickness.

(2) The compensation contemplated in such insurance policy shall as a minimum include:

(a) in The Event Of Accidental Death: €23,293.73 per capita;

(b) in the event of permanent disablement: up to €23,293.73 per capita; and

(c) in the event of temporary total disablement following accident and/or sickness: €260.89 per week for a period of six weeks.

(3) The premium for the insurance policy referred to in sub-regulation (1) shall be defrayed from the Fund.
