S.L. 327.549 Art. 5Number of students.

(1) The Board shall recommend to Senate the number of students that may be allowed to register for the course, depending on the availability of human resources and the number of students that may be allowed in a workshop/laboratory area. The Board shall announce the number of available places at the time of the call for applications.

(2) When the number of applicants that may be admitted to the Course is limited in terms of paragraph (1) of this bye-law, and the number of eligible applicants exceeds the number of places available, applicants shall be selected according to the following criteria, the weighting of which shall be published at the time of the call for applications:

(a) academic qualifications;

(b) experience in the field of Technical Design and Technology; and

(c) performance during an interview.

(3) When more than ten places are available, the Interviewing Board shall interview a number of applicants that is 25% more than the number of available places. Further groups of applicants as decided by the interviewing board shall only be interviewed if all the places have not been filled.

(4) The interviewing board appointed by the Board for the purpose, shall be composed of at least 3 members from the Department of Technology and Entrepreneurship Education.
