(1) Each Local Council is hereby delegated the function of issuing a licence under regulation 4(1) of the Trenching Works

Requiring Permit by Local Councils Regulations, when such proposed works are minor works, and the surface area of the 2 excavation does not exceed 5.00m and 1.5m in depth.

(2) Only hand or pneumatic hand tools are to be used during excavation. No mechanical excavators are to be used on this work.
