In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires -"the Agency" means the International Atomic Energy Agency; "the Community" means the European Atomic Energy Community; "Euratom Safeguards Regulation" means Commission Regulation (Euratom) No. 302/2005 of 8th February 2005, on the application of Euratom Safeguards; "the Protocol" means the Additional Protocol to the Safeguards Agreement; "Radiation Protection Board" means the Radiation Protection Board established by virtue of regulation 9 of the Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection Regulations;

"the Safeguards Agreement" means the Agreement between the States, the Community and the Agency in implementation of Article III(1) and (4) of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (Agreement 78/164/Euratom); "the States" means European Union non-nuclear-weapon member states.
