(a) Vessels requesting inclusion in the Fishing Vessels

Register for the first time shall be present in the registration port so that the necessary inspections could be carried out.

(b) Before every renewal of its registration and fishing licence, the fishing vessel and its gear shall be inspected, and the expenses incurred for this purpose shall be met by the owner, charterer and, or captain of the vessel when these are carried out in a port outside Malta.
