S.L. 454.1 Art. 2Definitions. Cap. 419.

For the purposes of these regulations, all the definitions in the Malta Standards Authority Act shall apply, and in addition, in these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires:

"EEC initial verification" refers to the verification of a measuring instrument which has not been verified previously as referred to in regulation 11(1); "verification of a measuring instrument" is the procedure which includes the examination and marking and, or issuing of the verification certificate which ascertains and confirms that the measuring instrument complies with the statutory requirements.
