The Council may investigate those convictions for criminal offences committed by any practitioners within the medical profession other than those specifically mentioned in the Act and if it deems it necessary, the said Council shall initiate disciplinary proceedings before the Disciplinary Committee in accordance with the Disciplinary

Proceedings Regulations.
