Cap. 16 ст. 1534How rent is fixed when not agreed upon.

(1) Where the contract has already commenced to be carried into effect, the rent, in the absence of an express agreement, or of any law fixing the amount thereof, shall be fixed at the current price, if any, or, in the absence of a current price, by means of a valuation by experts: Provided that in case of occupation without title under the Private Residential Leases Act, the rent shall be fixed in accordance with the provisions contained in the said Act.

(2) The provisions of sub-article (1) do not apply with regard to the lease of urban, residential and commercial property made after the 1st January, 2010:

Provided that in the case of occupation without title which are in existence after 1st January, 2020, the rent shall be determined in accordance with the Private Residential Leases Act.
