(1) The Minister shall within intervals not exceeding the period of five years lay on the Table of the House a report reviewing the workings of Part V of this Act within the previous five years together with recommendations, if any, with a view of achieving further adequacy, sustainability and social solidarity in such manner that a stable proportion is kept between the contribution periods as referred to in article 53 and the periods of time during which it is expected that the pension will be paid in accordance with Part V of this Act: Provided that the first report shall not be submitted later than the 31st December 2020, and subsequent reports shall be submitted at intervals of not more than five years, as provided for in this sub-article, after such date.

(2) The report mentioned in sub-article (1) shall be discussed by the Social Affairs Committee of the House or any other committee substituting the same.
