Cap. 510 ст. 16Establishment of the Office for Consumer Affairs.

(1) There shall be established an office to be designated as the Office for Consumer Affairs within the Authority which shall be headed by the Director General (Consumer Affairs).

(2) The Director General (Consumer Affairs) shall be a person with professional qualifications, recognised competence, experience and specialisation in the domain of consumer law, and, or behavioural economics and shall be appointed by the Board, following consultation with the Minister, for a period of three years and such period may be extended for further periods of three years each: Provided that the first Director General (Consumer Affairs) shall be appointed by the Minister.
