No proceedings, civil or criminal, shall lie against the head of marine safety investigation or against the persons appointed by the Authority pursuant to regulation 5 as safety investigators or against the persons appointed by the head of marine safety investigation pursuant to regulation 10(4) for anything he may do or report or say in the course of the exercise or intended exercise of his functions under these regulations, unless it is shown that he acted in bad faith.
