S.L. 35.11 ст. 4General considerations.

In the assessment of the amount due, the following general considerations shall be taken:

(a) The measurement of roofed buildings shall be based on the occupied area including the thicknesses of dividing walls and external walls, and half the thickness of party walls. The area occupied by courtyards shall be deducted from the measurement.

(b) Verandahs shall be considered as built areas.

(c) Staircases, lifts and other common spaces shall be considered as roofed buildings in respect of each floor.

(d) For each building which is variably used for different purposes there shall be paid a fee in respect of each part of such building as indicated in the Schedule.
