In these Bye-Laws unless the context otherwise requires:

"the Act" means the Local Government Act;

"Council" means the Ħal Lija Local Council;

"notice board" means any board, sign, placard, poster, notice or any other device or representation placed, displayed, fixed or erected in any public place within the Ħal Lija locality boundary which is intended for the purpose of advertising or publicity or for conveying any announcement, information or message to the public.
