S.L. 437.46 ст. 1Title and scope.

(1) The title of these regulations is the Procedures for

Veterinary Checks at Border Inspection Posts on the Territory of Malta on Products Imported from Third Countries Regulations.

(2) The scope of these regulations is to implement the rules laid down under European Union Commission Regulation (EC) No. 136/2004 of 22 January 2004 laying down procedures for veterinary checks at European Community Border Inspection Posts on products imported from third countries.

(3) European Union Commission Regulation (EC) No. 136/ 2004 repeals European Union Commission Decision 93/13/EEC. References made to the repealed Commission Decision shall be construed as references to EU Commission Regulation (EC) No. 136/2004.

(4) For the purposes of these regulations CVED means the Common Veterinary Entry Document found under Schedule III.
