S.L. 449.15 ст. 3Labelling.

(1) No prepacked dried beans may be sold for human consumption unless the container or package thereof carries a label stating the following: "IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS: To make the beans safe to eat it is important to follow these instructions: BEFORE cooking or eating the beans

(1) Soak beans for a minimum of five hours;

(2) Pour away the water;

(3) Boil the beans vigorously in fresh water for at least 10 minutes;

THEN follow your recipe.".

(2) The words on the label may either be in the Maltese or in the English language only.
