S.L. 465.9 ст. 7Temporary closure of bathing areas.

The Superintendent shall temporarily close a particular bathing area or part thereof when:

(a) inspections by an authorised officer reveals that there is a discharge or probable discharge of substances likely to deteriorate the quality of the bathing water: Provided that the Superintendent shall after the discharge is eliminated, collect samples for analysis of any parameter he deems fit;

(b) additional sampling results reveal that there is deterioration in the water quality;

(c) samples analysed for Intestinal enterococci counts result in more than 500 cfu/100 ml and the result is confirmed by repeat sample;

(d) samples analysed for Escherichia coli counts result in more than 1000 cfu/100 ml and is confirmed by repeat sample.
