Notwithstanding the provisions in regulations 3, 4, 5 and 6, the competent authority may impose limit values stricter than the ones in these regulations or impose emission limit values on plants exempt from this requirement through regulation 1(3) or through regulation 9 in order to ensure compliance with:

(a) the Ambient Air Quality Regulations, and any subsequent regulations dealing with the ambient levels of atmospheric pollutants;

(b) any other regulations made under the Environment

Protection Act and, or the Development Planning Act and deemed relevant by the competent authority.
