S.L. 582.10 ст. 2Interpretation. Cap. 582.

In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires:

"Act" means the Social Care Standards Authority Act;

"Authority" means the Social Care Standards Authority as established by virtue of article 5 of the Act;

"Chief Executive Officer" shall have the same meaning as assigned to it in the Act.

"emergency licence" means a licence issued by the Authority in exceptional circumstances for the provision of a social welfare service as defined in article 2 of the Act including for a service being provided in a particular facility or/and on a number of beds;

"exceptional circumstances" mean circumstances which justify the suspension of procedures which otherwise would have been followed, thus ensuring the mitigation of a number of difficulties.
