(1) Contracting authorities falling under Schedule 3 shall obtain the prior approval of the head of their contracting authority instead of that of the Director when carrying out a modification.

(2) Contracting authorities falling under Schedule 16 must, as long as the call for tenders has been published by the Sectoral

Procurement Directorate, obtain the prior approval of, or the preliminary permission from, their Permanent Secretary instead of that of the Director when carrying out modifications.
