S.L. 420.5 Art. 5Duration of temporary protection.

(1) Without prejudice to the provisions of regulation 7, the duration of temporary protection shall be one year. Unless terminated under the terms of regulation 7(1)(b), such duration may be extended automatically by six monthly periods for a maximum period of one year.

(2) Where reasons for temporary protection persist, the Chief Executive Officer may decide to extend that temporary protection by a period of up to one year.
