S.L. 437.48 Art. 16Interim period between computer database and network system.

(1) Pending the introduction in Malta of an approved surveillance network system a computer database complying with the provisions laid down in regulation 14 shall be fully operational for bovine animals on the 31 December 2002 at the latest: Provided that with regards to porcine animals, there shall be an entry in the database for each separate movement of porcine animals. The entry shall comprise at least the following:

(i) the number of porcine animals being moved,

(ii) the identification number of the holding or herd of departure,

(iii) the identification number of the holding or herd of arrival, and

(iv) the departure and arrivals dates.

The recording of all movements of porcine animals shall be fully operational on the 31 December 2003 at the latest.
