S.L. 458.13 Art. 8Work in and outside hospital.

(1) During the course of training, students shall be required to work in the wards, in the operating theatre and in the out-patients’ division of the obstetric department of a hospital approved for the purposes of these regulations by the Council for Nurses and Midwives, and may be required to perform night duties at regular intervals.

(2) Student midwives may also be required to attend, under guidance, at domiciliary confinements and to gain experience in the care of mother and baby in the home.
